Out of the frying pan into the fire
A coming of age tale…won’t you come along with me?

I would kill for a burger

And so it begins…yesterday I began the most grueling 28 day diet ever created by man…The Velocity Diet.

The results are already starting to be seen and felt, but damn…I could really go for some solid food. Did I mention that I only get to eat one solid meal a week? That my whole subsistence will be based on protein shakes mixed with water? And some yummy fish oil pills…and a couple multi-vitamins…ohhhh…. and let’s not forget my once a day serving of all natural peanut butter and milled flax seed….yum!

If I close my eyes and try really hard my chocolate protein/water/ice/natural peanut butter/flax seed shake tastes just like it…..ahhhh…mmmmm…who knew healthy could be so fun?

All kidding aside, I have been working really hard to try to be more fit and not focus on just being skinny.  Which is very hard to do in this society. I have already been going to the gym as consistently as possible given Mickey and my schedules, on top of the Monkey’s school activities, which is usually 4 days a week for at least an hour each day. This is merely an experiment and a journey…that you’re more than welcome to follow me on…

A burger still sounds so good though…a thick patty grilled on an outdoor bbq…with a toasted sesame bun….ahhhh….

Eat up my friend...eat up...

Eat up my friend...do it for the two of us...

  1. Oh Sam! I am so glad you are blogging again! YAY! And Sista, I would kill to look like you! KILL, I SAY!!

I know how hard it is fitting in time for yourself when you have a family. It’s a hard balance to strike and I struggle with it all the time!

Good luck although shit, you don’t really need it!

  2. Just think of all the food you’re leaving for me and the baby.

  3. Of course I’m only doing this to save more food for you and the baby. This is its most important developing period…every little bit helps

  4. Awww….Amber my darling, thank you.

Yes, it is difficult to find time to yourself or with your significant other when you’ve got a child, but I realize now that it’s quite necessary to find the time.

I love you and thank you for the support!

  5. hola cuz dude i went to this health seminar this last tuesday night– and he was HUGE on cleansing your colon– its a month long process and the best kit to get is COLONIX– you could lose up to 10-25 lbs depending how bad it is. my friend, bro and i are doing it so we can talk about our shits together– perhaps it’d be best to stick with one diet at a time! yours sounds crazy dificult- better bring you blender with you! good luck and i love your imagination! besos!

  6. Stay away from peanut butter!! ;)

That burger looks like it could feed VJ and the baby for the rest of their lives! hahahaa

  7. Actually…all natural peanut butter is a healthy fat Twinkie…it’s allowed in a lot of diets. It’s processed peanut butter that isn’t good for you.

And yes, I ordered a burger like that for VJ and the baby…it should be here any day now.

  8. Awww…Jen, thanks. It’s crazy hard, this diet, but the benefits and effects are pretty amazing. You and Nick should be very careful with colonics….they could be permanently damaging to your internal system. Good luck with your thing too…besos y abrazos!

  9. Oh I didn’t mean cuz it was bad for you. I was making a salmonella recall joke. You DID hear about that right? They are recalling a bunch of peanute butter products because of salmonella.

  10. Oh…hahaha…I did hear about that, but they were all processed peanut butter. Mine is certified all natural and organic.

    Thank you though darling :)
